The Dingle Essences were birthed on the first full moon of 2020, on Friday the 10th of January. This “wolf moon” also coincided with a lunar eclipse and Storm Brendon, which was raging across Ireland. I had booked a flight from the UK many months before and had been unaware of these factors prior, but it all came together to create the perfect conditions for the ‘birth’ of the eight Dingle Essences.
After a very turbulent flight from London across the Irish Sea, I safely landed at Kerry Airport. Storm Brendon was developing, and the winds were strong and fierce. At dusk I reached the Standing Stone, which was located just outside of Dingle town. As I placed a crystal glass bowl filled with Irish water before the Standing Stone, there was a huge gust of wind, as the standing stone connected with the bowl.
By the time I reached the Lithium Well and the Wishing Tree (which were located together) it was getting dark and Storm Brendon was gaining in strength. Here it is said that Merlin had visited in the past, to try the water from the well, to gain from its spiritual and medicinal properties. As I was being blown from side to side I placed both bowls down and another gust of wind arrived even stronger than the last. The energy around me was remarkable.
I was then taken to a location a few miles away, where I had to climb over a gate into a field. This is where the Fairy Fort was situated. Guarding this field at the entrance was a beautiful yellow Gorse bush. The light from the wolf full moon shone brightly on the yellow petals. I then placed another bowl of water here to capture the energy of this plant.
In the middle of this field was a spherical fort, which was circled by holly trees. It was dark and the wind was getting stronger. When I put the bowl down in the centre of the fort, a tremendous blast of wind appeared. And almost knocked me to the floor. I remember being scared, in the middle of nowhere in a different country, deep in the darkness of the storm. But I also remembered that I was in the Fairies', home and so I asked for their protection.
It was getting late and was very dark as I began to work with the Holly Tree. This enchanting tree, was bravely guarding the Fairy Fort. I was in total amazement when I put the bowl of water in front of the chosen holly tree. The burst of wind that arrived was an almost explosion-like crescendo and the strongest yet. It was like mother earth was talking to me. Her voice was strong, and I felt so infinitesimally small in her power and beauty.
I then proceeded to the Waterfall, This waterfall in Conor Pass was made by hundreds of thousands of years of ice sheets eroding away at the cliff face. When I arrived, I was in awe of the extreme calm and serenity that greeted me. A beautiful calm feeling enveloped me. I could actually hear a pin drop as it was so quiet and calm, absolutely no wind. I suddenly realised at that second that I was in the ‘eye of the storm’.
The next morning, I collected the bowls and added Dingle Vodka to each essence in the same order of the bowls being placed the night before. These are the Mother Tinctures that make up the Dingle Essences. My range of essences at '7' just did feel complete, I had a strong sense that there needed to be '8' essences in the range. '8' is the number for infinity, infinite love, infinite energy, infinite abundance. It made total sense to me, that the final Dingle Essence would be the ‘Dingle Diamond’, which would symbolise all of these qualities.
I proceeded to the coastline where the Dingle Diamond essence was to be created. I was close to the beach when I saw many ravens perched on a roof. This was very significant to me, as it was a message from the Universe. Earlier that day, I had been talking to someone and they asked me to pick a random word. (I had thought of raven). it is said that when this word materializes in the physical, the universe is letting you know that you are aligned.
The beach had an abundance of Dingle Diamonds and it was a long walk to the spot where these were located. I placed my bowl on one of the many white rocks, these rocks were positioned close to the Brandon Mountains. I left the bowl over night and I walked back through the sand dunes and streams as the tide had come in and it was getting dark.
The Dingle Diamonds essence was birthed on the 12th of January and as I walked towards the spot of this location, my niece took a photograph of the bowl on the rock. In the photograph the sun light appeared to resemble a diamond glowing from the bowl.
Dingle Vodka believe that many famous vodkas are about branding over substance and were determined to create a vodka of supreme quality. Dingle Distillery Vodka is most unusual in being quintuple distilled. That fifth distillation makes a huge difference. They say that you can taste it in the incredible purity that is as pure as the environment where it is made.
It is these qualities that make Dingle Vodka so suitable for the Dingle Essences.
